Do you know if you don't follow your dreams you will give yourself an early death?
How does the quote go.... "Every man dies. Not every man really lives." (William Wallace)I mean, you won't 'die' because of it, but you do lose a part of you (the most important part!). You will forgo your passion and ability to have tenacity.
I haven't found a word that summarizes one of our most prized inner states. Have you? The word I am looking for would capture this thought: when one's heart/intent matches their actions.
Seth Godin recently published this small post on his blog and I thought it worth sharing. I share a lot of the same sentiments mentioned here. I have spent 26 years following a path that leads to a 'worker' mentality. I was designed to face uncertainty, not run from it.
Someday can happen tomorrow;it can happen fifteen years from now. Someday is like a comforting alibi but doesn't have our best interest at hand. It is filled with resistance. Someday makes complacency feel okay. Someday usually turns into never and never isn't exciting. It's boring and uninteresting and regretting.
My book is set to publish in November 2016. I just got the final manuscript form the editor and can't wait to approve all the changes and send it to the designer.
